The Artist
Éva Aszalós started her studies of porcelain-painting in the Manufactury of Kalocsa that started its activity at the beginning of the ’70, and so among her teachers there were been masters who, having had their professional experiences from the Manufactury of Herend, have given a serious basis on the field of the shaded painting-technic. After she had finished her studies in 1974, she moved to the town of Szeged, in South Hungary, and her individual artistic career has been started in this town.
Hajnalka Aszalós has learnt the every secret of this rare and beautiful filed of art from her Mother, Éva Aszalós. She is fond of all beauty that has been created in the world of the decorative art and in the fine art' world and beside the porcelain and egg painting, she is talented and expert in the graphic design.
Andrea Angelika Aszalós has finished her studies at the University of Szeged, at the faculty of Italian Literature and Linguistics. As she has studied playing the piano for 16 years and as she manages the Family's communication in more languages in relation to their art activity - she has a very close connection to more fields of art. She wrote a biographical novel about her mother's, Éva Aszalós' life and artistical carreer that was published in Italy, in 2008, by the title "Behind the Silence"
Éva Aszalós who is the founder of the Aszalós Art Studio, started her studies of porcelain-painting in the Manufactury of Kalocsa that started its activity at the beginning of the ’70, and so among her teachers there were masters who, having had their professional experiences from the Manufactury of Herend, have given a serious basis on the field of the shaded painting-technic. Having finished her studies in 1974, she moved to the town of Szeged, in South Hungary, and her individual artistic career has started in this town, that after some years of pause, she continued with the applying of more technological innovations worked out by her in this field, and working already with her own décor-designes within the extremely rich and colourful world of the Secessionist Style.
Her works of art has been being internationally signed in the world for more than 15 years, which is one of the greatest appreciation in this field, and she has taught Hajnalka not only the classical bases of this beautiful profession but through applying the technological innovations worked out by her, she given her a way of see, design and artistic representation, that within the field of porcelain-painting is unique in the wolrd. Hajnalka’s works of art has been exhibeted in several exhibitions as well. Éva Aszalós' artistic work in 2002 was appreciated by the prize of ”Master-piece of artisan-artists of the County of Csongrád” and in september 2002 a permanent exhibition was established of her works, on the basis of the decision of the assembly of the County Council of the County of Csongrád. The permanent exhibition has received place in the hall of the Tourinform office of the downtown of Szeged. The two artists, mother and daughter, had several international exhibitions both abroad and in Hungary within serious cultural programmes.
The Familiar Collection which by today includes in itself more than 800 décor-designs is exhibited in the Aszalós Family’s Studio. In 2009 an Artistic Album of 148 pages was published presenting their works of art.
In 2008 a biographical novel was published in Italy about the life and artistic career of Éva Aszalós, with the title "Behind the Silence... Confessions of a porcelain-painter artist".
